Minister Dacic meets with the Foreign Minister of Burkina Faso

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabe Abroad of Burkina Faso Olivia Ragnaghnèwendé Rouamba, who is on her first official visit to Serbia.

Both sides expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation in the fields of agriculture, food industry, health care, infrastructure and education.

It was noted that the two countries were bound by traditional friendship, which should be strengthened by joint efforts, especially in light of the 55th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Head of Serbian diplomacy thanked the Minister for the support lent by Burkina Faso to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia, which was highly important for our country, since this country had withdrawn its recognition of “Kosovo”.

Dacic emphasized Serbia's commitment to preserving stability in the region, which was the fundamental and unchanged starting point of its foreign policy.

The Head of diplomacy of Burkina Faso informed Minister Dacic about the situation the citizens of her country were facing, stressing that the security of the citizens and the region was a prerequisite for the country's development.

The two interlocutors agreed on the need to strengthen cooperation between the two countries both politically and economically, including the exchange of visits at the high and top levels.
