Minister Dačic received congratulations from India, Slovakia and the Council of Europe on the occasion of assuming office

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dačic received congratulations for assuming duty from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar , the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Káčer and the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić.

"I am convinced that your rich experience and wisdom that you possess will be useful for Serbia's foreign policy, given that you have held high positions before, including the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs. I have had the opportunity to cooperate with you, through very productive discussions that we had during my visit to Belgrade in November 2019. I look forward to cooperating with you in order to further deepen the historical and bilateral cooperation that is rapidly expanding.

Allow me to take this opportunity to kindly wish Your Excellency good health and well-being and to the friendly people of the Republic of Serbia the continued progress and prosperity," wrote the Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs Jaishankar.

The Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Rastislav Káčer also congratulated Minister Dačić on his appointment as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

"I am convinced that even in the current complex geopolitical, security and economic situation, the traditionally excellent political relations between Slovakia and Serbia will be strengthened and that the bilateral cooperation will be deepened in many areas, to the benefit of the citizens of both countries." I would like to assure you that Slovakia would continue to support Serbia on its way to the European Union and share our unique experience from the integration process, with the aim of Serbia's successful progress in the accession negotiations.

The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić, wished First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić every success in his new mandate, congratulating him on his resumption of duties in the Government and the Department of Foreign Affairs.

"In these times when we are facing unprecedented challenges and crises on our continent, the well-known constructive membership of Serbia in the Council of Europe is more important than ever. In light of your successful 2014-2020 mandate, I am certain that our fruitful cooperation will continue in the interest of strengthening and consolidating the European area of ​​democracy, human rights and the rule of law.
