Berlin: Ambassador Janković met with the President of the Bundestag
The overall bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Germany and Serbia’s European integration were discussed in the atmosphere of an open and friendly dialogue.
Ambassador Janković pointed out the importance of Germany's further support toward intensifying Serbia's European integration, emphasising that Germany was Serbia’s most important partner, with whom Serbia shared an ongoing political dialogue and an extremely developed economic cooperation.
Ambassador Janković also informed the President of the Bundestag about the reform process results, and about the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština, pointing out the necessity to form the Union of Serbian Municipalities and that Priština must honour the obligations from the Brussels Agreement.
The President of the Bundestag assessed the bilateral relations between Serbia and Germany as extremely good and expressed her personal readiness to engage in the support of Serbia’s European integrations and that of the Western Balkans. She expressed understanding for the need of the Serbian citizens to see a concrete and an achievable European perspective in a more predictable timeframe.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Janković invited the President of the Bundestag to visit Serbia, which she gladly accepted.
