To strengthen cooperation with Nepal, which dates back to the period of the NAM

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Narayan Khadka.

Minister Selaković stated that bilateral relations are traditionally friendly, assessing that there is a significant space for further development of political dialogue.

Selaković conveyed that Serbia attaches great importance to the development of relations with Nepal, considering that close cooperation has been established during the joint actions within the Non-Aligned Movement, since its establishment.

The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed special gratitude on the occasion of Nepal's clear position on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, expressing expectation that Nepal will maintain that principled position, but also continue to support Serbia in international organizations.

He pointed out that Serbia is ready to deepen overall cooperation, especially in the fields of agriculture, economy, trade, science and education.

On this occasion, Selaković informed his interlocutor about the economic opportunities and the favorable investment climate in our country, and sent an invitation to Nepalese companies to invest in Serbia.

Also, Minister Selaković expressed hope that Nepalese students will continue to apply for scholarships within the "World in Serbia" program for schooling in our country, and that in that way we will bring our two countries closer. He pointed out that Serbia has quadrupled the number of scholarships for Nepalese students since this year, for which the Nepalese foreign minister thanked him.
