Djuric: Serbia will pursue a freedom-loving, nationally responsible foreign policy of an extended hand and cooperation
On that occasion, Minister Djuric noted that Serbia would continue with the policy of continuity when it comes to foreign affairs.
"In the period ahead, Serbia will pursue a freedom-loving, nationally responsible foreign policy of an extended hand and cooperation.We are in the business of making friends, strengthening ties and promoting the image of Serbia in the international community", Djuric said.
According to him, Minister Dacic had fought bravely and decisively for the interests of Serbia in previous years, as part of the team led by President Aleksandar Vucic.
"We will work in harmony and unity, I look forward to continuing our friendly and professional cooperation, both through the ministries we are heading and together with Prime Minister Vucevic and President of the Republic Vucic, we will strive to act harmoniously, dedicatedly, diligently and in the interest of all citizens", Djuric stated.
Minister Dacic, who will be heading the Ministry of the Interior in the new Serbian Government, wished the new Serbian Foreign Minister success and the best of luck in his work, so that we as a country and people could successfully overcome the difficulties we are facing.
"For many years, the new minister Marko Djuric and I have been part of a team led by President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic that has continuously dealt with the most difficult and most important state and national issues since 2012. I am glad that this is in some way an expression of state and political continuity when it comes to the positions and conception of our foreign policy", Dacic said.
Dacic emphasized that the common goal of the ministries of foreign affairs and the interior would be to defend state and national interests, and that the new Head of Serbian diplomacy would have his full support to that end.
