The Namibian delegation was headed by Deputy Executive Director and Head of Department of Bilateral Relations and Cooperation, Ambassador Sabine Böhlke-Möller, while the delegation of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was headed by Acting Assistant Minister for Bilateral Cooperation, Ambassador Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili.

In an open conversation, friendship between Namibia and Serbia was affirmed, based on historical mutual understanding and solidarity.

The delegations of the two ministries assessed the bilateral political relations as very good and also discussed economic cooperation, cooperation in the field of education and sports, cooperation within international organizations, as well as the current situation in the world.

The importance of consistent compliance with the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations was affirmed on both sides.

Ambassador Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili pointed out that we highly valued the stance that friendly Namibia maintained concerning non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called "Kosovo", thus lending a principled and consistent support to the preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia.

During the political consultations, it was agreed that the activities aimed at the development of bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest would be intensified in the period ahead.

The Namibian delegation led by Ambassador Sabine Böhlke-Möller also made a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric.
