Political relations

Bilateral relations are traditionally friendly, but political dialogue is underdeveloped. There has been no high-level exchange of visits for a long time.

Economic relations

There is potential for improving economic cooperation. During 2022, no goods exchange with DPR Korea was recorded.

Bilateral agreements

• Agreement between the Government of the SFRY and the Government of the DPR Korea on cooperation in the field of health, medical science and pharmacy, signed on 20 February 1978, published in International Treaties No. 14/1979.
• Agreement on mutual abolition of visas between the SFRY and the DPR Korea for citizens of the two countries holding ordinary passports when traveling for business purposes, signed on 4 March 1982, published in International Treaties No.11 / 1984.
• Agreement between the Federal Government of the FRY and the Government of the DPR of Korea on mutual encouragement and protection of investments, signed on 26 August 1998, published in The Official Gazette FRY, International Treaties No.1 / 99.
• Agreement between the Federal Government of the FRY and the Government of the DPR of Korea on the avoidance of double taxation in relation to income and property taxes, signed on 25 December 2000, published in The Official Gazette FRY, International Treaties No.1 / 01
