Political relations

Bilateral relations have been traditionally characterised by joint membership in the Non-Aligned Movement. The Government of the Republic of Serbia sent help to Haiti to remediate the consequences of the devastating earthquake that hit this Caribbean country in January 2010, while the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia participated in the UN Stabilisation Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) in the period 2007–2017.
In October 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Haiti at the time C. Joseph has participated in the work of the High-Level Commemorative Meeting to mark the 60th anniversary of the First Conference of Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia N. Selakovic had a bilateral meeting with Minister Joseph during his stay in Belgrade.
In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Haiti in August 2021, The Republic of Serbia has donated funds to Haiti through the International Organization of La Francophonie.

 

Economic relations

In 2020 exports amounted to 216,000 and imports from Haiti to 29,000 euros. In 2019, exports amounted to 10,000 euros and imports to 60,000 euros.
