Political relations

Bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Burundi are friendly and communication is maintained at a high level.

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia at the time, Ivica Dačić, visited Burundi during the period 14-15 February 2018.

The return visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Burundi was conducted on 3-4 April 2018.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Burundi visited Belgrade on 20-22 February 2019.

Economic relations

During the 2020 there was no export, while imports amounted to 7,000 euros.

In 2019 there was no export, while imports amounted to 4,000 euros.

Bilateral agreements

  • Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation - SFRY - Burundi, date of coming into force: 15 February 2018.
