ENTRY REGIME FOR CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
All restrictions related to the COVID-19 virus have been lifted. Travel and transit in Tajikistan is permitted.
Foreign travel documents (passports) must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of arrival in Tajikistan and have two blank pages. In case of an expired visa, a foreigner cannot leave Tajikistan and may be fined.
Regular commercial flights to and from Dushanbe have been restored. A negative PCR test is no longer a requirement for boarding flights out of Tajikistan.
Land border crossings between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, China and Afghanistan are officially closed to foreign travelers. Numerous border crossings with Uzbekistan are open to foreign travelers with visas, as well as citizens of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The land border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan currently remains closed.
Entry into the Upper Badakhshan Autonomous Region, both from inside and outside Tajikistan, requires a special permit in advance in addition to a valid Tajik visa. A permit can also be obtained from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Visa and Registration Office in Tajikistan.
ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia, no matter the type of the travel document they hold, need a visa to enter. Visa is obtained in Tajik diplomatic and consular missions abroad. For more details, please contact the Embassy of Tajikistan in Moscow, the Russian Federation.

No social security agreement has been concluded.

HEALTH SITUATION — No special vaccination is required for entry.
SECURITY SITUATION — The political and security situation in Tajikistan is quite stable. A potential destabilising factor are radical Islamist groups, which are under control for now. Considering there is a certain level of crime against foreign tourists, precautions are recommended.
TRANSPORT — The main airport is in Dushanbe. There is a daily flight to Moscow, and there are some three flights a week to Alma-Ata, Novosibirsk, Bishkek, Samara, St. Petersburg, New Delhi, Istanbul, and Tehran. The roads are not in the best condition.
OTHER INFORMATION — The national currency is the somoni (TJS).
