Đurić and Balakrishnan: Serbia Interested in Intensifying Cooperation with Singapore

Đurić reaffirmed Serbia’s interest in further intensifying bilateral cooperation with Singapore, recalling the strong foundations laid during the period of close cooperation within the Non-Aligned Movement.

According to Đurić, strengthening political dialogue and intensifying high- and highest-level exchanges would provide additional impetus to bilateral cooperation and foster closer ties between the two countries.

Turning to economic relations, Đurić expressed Serbia’s readiness to intensify economic and investment cooperation and to identify specific areas offering tangible opportunities for new projects and investment.

He particularly highlighted Singapore’s experience and expertise in innovation and cybersecurity, noting that these areas offer considerable scope for practical cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two countries.

Đurić expressed his satisfaction that the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Singapore will coincide with the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade. He invited Minister Balakrishnan to visit Serbia during the Expo, noting that an official visit would make a significant contribution to marking this important anniversary and to further strengthening relations between the two countries.
