Statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nikola Selaković

Involving the principle "nothing is agreed until everything is agreed" in a process that is based on clearly defined deadlines for the implementation of the agreement is nothing else but an attempt to disrupt the dialogue.

Such an understanding of the Brussels dialogue would also release Belgrade from any obligation to act in accordance with the agreements reached in recent years with the mediation of the EU and would violate Brussels' guarantee that the agreement will be implemented, and I hope that Ms. Viola von Cramon does not recommend such a thing.

Once again, we are faced with an absurd situation that a person who builds her political capacity on the fact that she is a member of an EU institution undermines the processes guaranteed by the EU, and it is high time to sanction Ms. von Cramon's increasingly open lobbying for the self-proclaimed Kosovo at the institutional level.

The process of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina is delicate and requires careful management, which both the European Commission and the European External Action Service are aware of, because any irresponsible behavior in it can result in worsening the situation on the ground and destabilization, and therefore I appeal once again to all who follow the course of the Brussels dialogue to weigh their words carefully before they say something, because the consequences of their irresponsibility can be far-reaching.

I will remind you once again that 3,000 days will soon come from the moment when Pristina committed itself to enable the formation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities and that, not only is the fulfillment of that obligation not in sight, but Pristina openly tells EU representatives that it is not interested in such a thing.
