Selaković received the recognition of the honorary guest of Guatemala City

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, met with the Mayor of Guatemala City, Ricardo Quiñónez.

On this occasion, the head of Serbian diplomacy got acquainted with the history and plans for the development of the city, and exchanged opinions on the potentials of cooperation between the capitals of the two countries in areas that are important for the normal and successful functioning of city administrations.

The Minister informed his interlocutor about the rapid development of Belgrade, numerous infrastructure projects and plans.

Selaković especially expressed satisfaction that there is a street in the center of the capital of Guatemala named after our Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić, and in Belgrade, there is a street named after the famous Guatemalan Nobel laureate Miguel Ángel Asturias.

In that regard, the Minister expressed hope that the ties and visibility of our cultures will continue to strengthen, both in Guatemala and in Serbia, and invited Mayor Quiñónez to visit Belgrade.

Also, at the seat of the city administration, Minister Selaković was presented with the recognition of the honorary guest of Guatemala City.
