The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković completed his visit to Luxembourg with the meeting with this country’s Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel.

After the meeting, Selaković stated that Prime Minister Bettel was an exceptional person, honest and true friend of our country and somebody who sincerely supports the European path of Serbia.

“Prime Minister Bettel considers us a part of Europe and wants and supports us to become a part of the EU as soon as possible”, says Minister Selaković.

The Serbian Foreign Minister emphasized that Prime Minister Bettel had expressed great interest in current events in Serbia and our region.

The Minister especially emphasized that support we received from Luxembourg was not just principled, but the result of exceptional relations of President Vučić and Prime Minister Brnabić with Prime Minister Bettel.

Selaković said that the meeting with Prime Minister Bettel had been the best possible closure of the visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. He added that the meeting with Luxembourg Prime Minister had been somewhat unusual, because, according to the Minister’s words, Prime Minister had gone in front of the residence and took, in an unplanned manner and beside the protocol, the Serbian delegation to city tour where they had visited two museums and several historical sites and met citizens and tourists.

“Today, as always, I was very proud representing Serbia, but it is really special pleasure when you meet friends who wish you well sincerely, who are capable of advising and helping you in the joint interest”, said Selaković.

Selaković also mentioned very successful meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg as well as at the Luxembourg Parliament where he met the President of the Parliament and members of the Foreign Affairs Board. He said that he had introduced his interlocutors to the reforms implemented in Serbia and the situation in the region and the members of the Parliament, according to minister’s words, had complimented us for all our efforts, economic reforms and achieved results.
