Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and El Salvador

Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Vladimir Marić visited El Salvador to hold the first political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of El Salvador.

On the side of El Salvador, the political consultations were led by Deputy Minister Andriana Mira, with whom a Memorandum of Understanding was exchanged on the establishment of a mechanism for political consultations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of El Salvador, signed by Ministers Nikola Selaković and Alexandra Hill Tinoco.

In a cordial conversation, it was jointly stated that there were significant potentials for improving bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of common interest such as economy, exchange of experience in the field of trade and investment, agriculture, culture and education.
 
The interlocutors took the opportunity to inform each other about the situation in the regions of Central America and the Western Balkans, as well as to exchange opinions on topics of global importance.

Ambassador Marić also met with Vice President of El Salvador Félix Ulloa, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Enrique Parada Rivas, Minister of National Defence Rene Merino Monroy, as well as with the Honorary President of the National Institute of Sports Yamil Bukele, with whom he discussed the possibility of improving cooperation in the mentioned areas.

It was agreed that the Honorary President of the National Institute of Sports would visit Serbia in the coming period at the invitation of Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovičić.
