Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2025: Diplomacy in the Service of the Homeland

Over the past year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has continued, by deploying all its capacities, to work toward strengthening the international standing of the Republic of Serbia and enhancing its reputation worldwide, as well as advancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation, while pursuing a balanced foreign policy and consistently safeguarding national and state interests.

Despite complex global circumstances, our country has remained committed to the active shaping of its foreign policy position, with particular emphasis on building new partnerships and preserving existing ones, establishing, maintaining, and further developing political dialogue at high and the highest levels, active participation in the work of international organizations, and the promotion of peace, stability, and respect for the principles of international law.

Significant efforts have been invested in the further development of economic diplomacy, the enhancement of the work and operational capacity of the diplomatic and consular network, and the strengthening of support for our diaspora in the region and around the world.

Guided by the vision and clearly defined objectives of the highest state leadership, Serbian diplomats have placed their knowledge and experience at the service of preserving and enhancing the international image of the Republic of Serbia and of securing a better future for all of us, demonstrating a high level of professionalism, responsibility, and dedication.

Their work across all meridians, often carried out under demanding and challenging conditions and in high-risk environments, is of crucial importance for the continuity of diplomatic activities, the presentation of our country’s positions, and the protection of its most vital national interests.

As we enter the coming year, we do so with the message that the Republic of Serbia is a reliable partner and a sincere friend, firmly committed to peace, dialogue, and international cooperation.
