The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, takes oath of office
16. Apr 2025.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, was reappointed to the position today and will continue to serve as Serbia’s top diplomat in the new government led by Prime Minister Đuro Macut, following nearly a year in the cabinet of former Prime Minister Miloš Vučević.
Minister Đurić took the oath of office today, along with other members of the Government of Serbia, before the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. In the period ahead, he will continue to implement Serbia’s foreign policy, aimed at safeguarding the country’s state and national interests, as outlined in Prime Minister Macut’s exposé.
Minister Đurić was first appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs on 2 May 2024. Over the past year, together with his team, he has worked to enhance Serbia’s foreign policy standing amid newly emerging geopolitical circumstances, while also undertaking internal reforms and strengthening the capacities of the Serbian diplomatic service—pursuing a nationally responsible policy of an extended hand.
