Minister Đurić in talks with the Ambassador of Switzerland
Highlighting that our nation deeply values its relationship with Switzerland, Minister Đurić expressed a keen interest in continuing the positive momentum of high-level political dialogue and engagements.
In this context, Đurić cited the regular political consultations between the two ministries of foreign affairs as a quintessential example of exemplary practice, emphasizing its significant role as a forum for the exchange of views on matters of mutual interest.
The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed profound gratitude to Switzerland for its substantial bilateral donations and developmental assistance across various sectors, noting that Switzerland ranks among Serbia’s most significant developmental partners.
Regarding economic cooperation, Đurić observed that it has been intensively flourishing in all facets in recent years, reaching unprecedented levels, such as the total bilateral exchange of goods and services which, according to the latest data, has exceeded two billion euros.
Minister Đurić briefed his interlocutor on the grave situation the Serbian people is facing in Kosovo and Metohija, triggered by the unilateral actions of the provisional self-governing institutions in Pristina, the continuous severe violations of human rights, democratic principles, and all agreements and accords, underscoring the necessity of international presence to safeguard the rights and security of the Serbian populace.
The meeting also addressed the upcoming Swiss presidency of the OSCE in 2026, during which the minister conveyed our openness and readiness for any form of consultation, support, and assistance.
