Minister Djuric confers with OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities
Commending the efforts made so far by the institution of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, especially the personal engagement and achievements in the past three years on issues under his jurisdiction, Djuric reiterated to his interlocutor that our country remained sincerely committed to protecting and continuing to promote the individual and collective rights of persons belonging to all national minorities living in its territory.
The Serbian Foreign Minister reminded of the five key national priorities of Serbia's state policy, defined by President Aleksandar Vucic, which included nurturing the identity, culture, language, script, traditions and values of the Serbian people and all peoples living in our country.
“Serbia is considered the most multi-ethnic country in the entire Balkan region and one of the most multi-ethnic countries in Europe with 24 registered and active national councils of national minorities", the Minister emphasized.
High Commissioner Abdrakhmanov expressed his gratitude to Minister Djuric for the continuous support and exceptional cooperation of Serbia and the institution he was heading, underlining the role of our country in regional stability.
