Minister Đurić confers with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Public Service of the Bahamas, Frederick Mitchell

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met today in Antigua and Barbuda, on the sidelines of the 55th General Assembly of the Organization of American States, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Public Service of the Bahamas, Frederick Mitchell, to discuss the strengthening of political dialogue and the enhancement of bilateral cooperation.

Minister Đurić emphasized Serbia’s commitment to deepening relations with the countries of the Latin American and Caribbean region, particularly through cooperation within regional organizations such as the Organization of American States, the Caribbean Community, and the Association of Caribbean States. These platforms, he noted, serve as important mechanisms for advancing political and economic ties between Serbia and the Bahamas.

The Minister expressed gratitude for the Bahamas’ principled support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, describing this position as a reflection of mutual respect and a consistent commitment to international law.

Regarding economic cooperation, Minister Đurić highlighted Serbia’s readiness to explore concrete modalities for deepening trade and investment relations and establishing direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries.

The Serbian Foreign Minister extended an official invitation to the Bahamas to participate in the international Expo 2027 exhibition in Belgrade, which will offer a valuable opportunity to showcase the cultural, tourism, and economic potential of participating countries.
