Minister Dacic receives a farewell call from Ambassador of the People's Republic of China

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a farewell call from Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Serbia Chen Bo, who is about to end her term-of-office in the Republic of Serbia.

In a very cordial atmosphere, Minister Dacic thanked Ambassador Chen - a great friend of Serbia and an expert on the situation in the region and, in particular, Serbia - for her excellent cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all other Serbian institutions over the four and a half years of her tenure in the country.

He noted that Ambassador Chen Bo, through her exceptional diplomatic skills and personal commitment, had significantly contributed to taking the comprehensive strategic partnership and ironclad friendship between the two countries and the two peoples to an even higher level.

The Serbian Foreign Minister was pleased to note that the cooperation in all areas, in particular in the economy, infrastructure and investments, had been promoted significantly during the tenure of Ambassador Chen.

He reiterated the gratitude of our side to the People's Republic of China for its continued support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia, emphasizing that Serbia consistently supported the policy of “one China”.

Wishing Ambassador Chen every success in her personal life and professional endeavours, Minister Dacic emphasized that she would always be able to count on the friendship and hospitality of Serbia and the Serbian people.

Ambassador Chen Bo underlined that she had beautiful memories of Serbia, and thanked the Serbian state leadership and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Serbian state institutions for the exceptional cooperation, understanding and friendship. She particularly thanked Minister Dacic and his team for their wholehearted assistance and support during her tenure in Belgrade.
