Minister Dacic receives the Deputy Director-General for European Affairs and Ambassador for the Western Balkans of the Japanese Foreign Ministry

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had a courtesy meeting today with Deputy Director-General for European Affairs and Ambassador in charge of the Western Balkans at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Kimitake Nakamura, who is in Belgrade for regular bilateral political consultations between the two foreign ministries.

In the talks, the collocutors agreed that the relations between the two countries were on a constant upward trajectory, substantial and multi-faceted, while affirming readiness to further strengthen mutual dialogue and exchange visits at all levels.

In this context, Minister Dacic reiterated his personal readiness to visit Japan as soon as possible.

Minister Dacic emphasized that our side was very pleased that Serbia was a desirable destination to a growing number of renowned Japanese companies, and expressed the hope that their positive experiences would encourage an inflow of new Japanese investments in the Serbian market.

Minister Dacic and Ambassador Nakamura also noted an interest in further strengthening of other forms of cooperation, such as culture, education, science, technology, digitalization and ICT.

The Head of Serbian diplomacy informed the Japanese delegation of the present extremely complex developments in Kosovo and Metohija.
