Minister Dacic meets with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, who is paying an official bilateral visit to the Republic of Serbia at the invitation of Minister Dacic.

In an open and friendly conversation, the interlocutors highlighted mutual interest in and commitment to the further intensification of political dialogue and overall cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Azerbaijan in all areas of common interest.

It was assessed that the relations between the two countries were at a high level, based on traditionally friendly ties, mutual trust and respect for the principles of international law, as well as excellent personal relationship between President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

At the meeting, they affirmed clear and principled positions regarding the necessity of adherence to the principle of sovereignty and territorial integrity of all UN member states, including the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The interlocutors agreed that there was significant room for the further enhancement of bilateral economic cooperation in various areas, primarily in the fields of energy, agriculture and food sector, construction, pharmaceuticals, tourism, etc.

On this occasion, the two ministers signed the Agreement on employment of family members of diplomatic and consular staff.
