Minister Dacic meets with the Ambassador of Tunisia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met with the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to the Republic of Serbia Imen Laajili Ammari.

The Serbian Foreign Minister wished the new Tunisian ambassador welcome and success in her work. He emphasized the significance of the decades-long friendship and cooperation between Serbia and Tunisia, recalling the rich and long history of relations, as well as the fact that in 2022 our two countries had marked 65 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.

In the talks, they noted that overall bilateral relations between the two countries were close and friendly and that there was common interest in further advancement of cooperation in many areas, above all, in the economy.

Minister Dacic said that he hoped he would soon have an opportunity to welcome the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, in Belgrade.

Thanking the Minister for the warm welcome, Ambassador Ammari emphasized her readiness to contribute to the further promotion of cooperation between the two countries through active efforts.
