Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan opened in Užice

On 6 June 2023, Acting Assistant Minister for Consular Affairs Ambassador Mirjana Živković attended the ceremonial opening of the Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Užice, led by Honorary Consul Nikolay Vorobiev.

The consular area includes the territory of the Zlatibor administrative district. After the Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this is the second honorary consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Serbia.

The opportunity was used to emphasise that the inauguration of the Honorary Consul would improve not just the consular relations between the two countries, but also that the above would be an additional incentive to the development of overall bilateral relations of Serbia and Kazakhstan.

The ceremony was also attended by Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Affairs Nikola Selaković, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Belgrade Madi Atamkulov, Mayor of Užice Dr Jelena Raković Radivojević, and Head of the Zlatibor administrative district Desimir Popović.
