Historical and solid connections of Serbia and Kuwait
The interlocutors confirmed that Serbia and Kuwait are characterized by historical and solid connections during 60 years of bilateral relations.
The Serbian Foreign Minister expressed the readiness of Serbia to work on strengthening of bilateral cooperation with Kuwait in the fields of mutual interest, especially economy.
The interlocutors expressed the interest to initiate at the level of ministers of foreign affairs as soon as possible the operation of Inter-governmental Commission for Economic Cooperation.
Selaković added that the intensification of the political dialog of two ministries and exchange of high-level visits would contribute to strengthening of cooperation and invited his colleague to the official visit to Serbia. Minister Al-Sabah accepted the invitation and confirmed the interest to realize this visit in the following month.
Furthermore, Selaković expressed satisfaction because Kuwait, as a member country of the Non-Allied Movement, at the forthcoming event in Belgrade, on the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Belgrade conference, would be represented by Minister Al-Sabah.
The Minister informed his colleague from Kuwait also on the success of economic reforms of Serbia in previous seven years.
