Đurić: A new impetus in relations between Serbia and the Central African Republic
Minister Đurić emphasized the importance of the Central African Republic being represented at ministerial level at this event in our capital, underscoring that the Republic of Serbia greatly values its decades-long friendship with the CAR and the positive momentum in political dialogue at high and highest levels. He noted that the most prominent confirmation of these relations was last year’s official visit of President Faustin-Archange Touadéra to Serbia.
In addition to the sincere friendship and shared commitment to enhancing cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, the Serbian Foreign Minister highlighted that both countries are united by a principled approach to foreign policy, marked by independence and sovereignty, as well as by a strong commitment to the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
With regard to economic cooperation, Minister Đurić welcomed the joint initiative to deepen the contractual framework between the two countries in the field of economic collaboration, stressing that such efforts would give renewed momentum and fresh energy to the overall bilateral relationship.
The meeting also explored additional avenues for strengthening economic and trade ties, with particular emphasis on the potential for intensified cooperation in the sectors of agriculture, infrastructure, and information technology, as well as in diversifying trade exchange.
