Đurić meets with Israeli Prime Minister’s National Security Advisor

During his official visit to Israel, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with Tzachi Hanegbi, National Security Advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Conveying the greetings of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to the Israeli Prime Minister, Minister Đurić emphasized that the relations between the two nations are founded on centuries-old friendship and reinforced through strong cooperation in modern times.

Minister Đurić briefed his counterpart on Serbia’s economic achievements and investment potential, expressing Serbia’s commitment to advancing negotiations on a free trade agreement. Such an agreement would provide an additional stimulus for business communities and serve as a reflection of the strong political ties between the two countries.

Both sides expressed a shared interest in strengthening political dialogue and exchanging high-level visits to further enhance bilateral relations.

Minister Đurić also informed his interlocutor about the difficult situation faced by Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, underscoring the cultural, historical, and spiritual significance of the province for the Serbian people as a whole.

The meeting also included discussions on the security situation in the Middle East, during which Minister Đurić reiterated Serbia’s appeal for the release of its citizen, Alon Ohel, along with all other hostages currently held by Hamas.
