Djuric confers with Vranjes: Serbia's unequivocal support to Dayton Accords
Minister Djuric noted that Serbia strived for the best possible cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina and was fully committed to further deepening of political, economic, cultural and all other relations.
Underscoring the unequivocal support of Serbia to the Dayton Peace Agreement, which honours the territorial integrities of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Srpska as its entity, Djuric noted Serbia's firm commitment to the preservation of regional stability and dialogue as the best means of resolving all outstanding issues.
The Minister said that recent statements by Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Denis Becirovic and Bosnia and Herzegovina Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic were not helping the relations between the two states.
Preservation of our sovereignty and territorial integrity is a matter of the utmost national importance, and in this context the Serbian Foreign Minister, speaking with his interlocutor, reiterated his gratitude to Bosnia and Herzegovina for its principled position concerning non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
Referring to the recently held joint session of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Srpska, the Minister emphasized our interest and readiness to establish this type of cooperation with the other entity as well, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In this context, Minister Djuric assessed that the establishment of such a mechanism of communication and cooperation would significantly contribute to the strengthening of mutual understanding and respect as well as to building full trust, for the benefit of all our citizens.
