Đurić confers with the Speaker of the Knesset
Recalling the historic friendship, understanding, and cooperation between the Serbian and Jewish peoples, Minister Đurić expressed confidence that his visit to Israel would further strengthen the ties and relations between the two countries.
The two officials exchanged views on the state of bilateral relations and the dynamics of political dialogue, with Minister Đurić reiterating Serbia’s commitment to advancing cooperation with Israel across various sectors.
He emphasized the significant contribution of parliamentarians from both countries, particularly those involved in the work of parliamentary friendship groups, to strengthening bilateral relations.
Minister Đurić conveyed Serbia’s interest in continuing the growth of economic cooperation, which has seen positive momentum in recent years, including the rise in Israeli investments.
The Minister also briefed his interlocutor on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, highlighting the threats to the Serbian population and frequent provocations and unilateral actions by Pristina.
On this occasion, Minister Đurić reaffirmed that Serbia is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East and expressed hope that all those taken hostage during Hamas’s attack on Israel, including Serbian-Israeli citizen Alon Ohel, would be released as soon as possible.
