Đurić confers with the Executive Director of the Energy Dominance Council

The discussion focused on further deepening the strategic cooperation between Serbia and the United States in the field of energy, as one of the key issues of global stability, economic development, and security.

Minister Đurić emphasized that Serbia views energy as a pillar of its overall development and as a sector of exceptional geopolitical importance. For this reason, he stressed that resolving the issue of NIS as soon as possible is of utmost importance, as this would create the preconditions for further strengthening Serbian-American cooperation and enable the full realization of the strategic partnership’s potential in this area.

The interlocutors also discussed the next phases in the implementation of joint projects in the field of hydropower, as well as the further strengthening of Serbia’s gas interconnections with regional and European energy markets, with the aim of diversifying supply routes and sources.

It was emphasized that Serbia, as a reliable partner, seeks to contribute to broader European energy security and the stability of the Western Balkans region. ‎
