The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met in Washington with Congresswoman Young Kim, a member of the Subcommittee on Europe within the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

In their discussion on key bilateral issues, with particular emphasis on the importance of economic cooperation, Đurić underscored the significance of support from Members of Congress in creating the most favorable political climate—an essential prerequisite for advancing Serbian-American relations.

The Serbian Foreign Minister also drew his interlocutor’s attention to the importance of the Serbian diaspora in the United States, which, with nearly one million people, represents a valuable bridge of cooperation in relations between Serbia and the United States.

The Minister briefed the Congresswoman on the most important topics currently at the forefront of Serbia’s agenda and used the occasion to invite her to visit Belgrade and Serbia, in order to gain first-hand insight into the potential of our country.
