Đurić confers with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan
Minister Đurić underlined that relations between Serbia and Uzbekistan are stable, friendly, and free of open issues, expressing his conviction that there is considerable potential for further advancing cooperation in a wide range of areas.
He particularly welcomed the recent first official visit of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to Uzbekistan, which provided a strong impetus to the development of overall relations. He recalled that, on that occasion, the Agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investments and the Agreement on Economic Cooperation were signed, both of which will significantly contribute to strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
Đurić noted that Serbia and Uzbekistan share close views on numerous bilateral and international matters. He especially expressed gratitude for Tashkent’s principled support for the preservation of Serbia’s territorial integrity, emphasizing that such a consistent position represents an important pillar in the relations between the two countries.
The Minister also thanked the Uzbek side for its officially confirmed participation in the Specialized International Exhibition Expo 2027, expressing his belief that Uzbekistan will showcase its potential in the best possible manner.
