Dacic receives a farewell call from the Ambassador of Myanmar

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a farewell call from Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Thurain Thant Zin, who started his tenure in the Republic of Serbia in October 2019.

The Serbian Foreign Minister thanked the Ambassador of Myanmar for his dedication and engagement in the development of traditionally friendly relations and overall cooperation between the two countries, wishing him good health, success and personal happiness.

Ambassador Thurain Thant Zin emphasized the traditional friendship between Myanmar and Serbia, affirming his country's principled support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and its position concerning non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, for which Minister Dacic thanked him.

Looking back on his term-of-office in the Republic of Serbia, he pointed out that he had very fond memories of Belgrade and that he would always see Serbia as a friend of the people of Myanmar.
