Today, during his stay in Belgrade, President of Slovenia Borut Pahor visited the first International Wine Fair Wine Vision by Open Balkan and was introduced to wine production in Serbia by Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selaković, who pointed out that Serbia was a small country that could not count on quantity, but it has got high-quality wines.

Selaković explained to his guest at the Fair that Serbian wines were made from authentic domestic varieties and pointed out that the State stimulated small producers and invested in the wine industry in order to improve the wine sector in the country.

After the meeting with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, Pahor visited the Fair with a delegation from Slovenia, and had a tour through the Wine Vision by Open Balkan in company of Minister Selaković and the host of the fair, President of the Association of Winemakers and Winegrowers Stevan Rajta, who told them about the concept of the Fair and the specificities of the exhibited wines.

Selaković and Pahor first visited Hall 1, which was thematically designed as a vineyard, after which they visited the stands of Slovenian exhibitors.

While Slovenian Ambassador to Serbia Damjan Bergant and Minister Selaković tasted one of the white wines produced by Evino, Pahor listened with satisfaction to the story of his countrymen's wine.

Afterwards, the guests visited the stand of the 100 women winery and the Slovenian President expressed a wish to take a picture with the representatives of the winery.

„May we take a picture, so I can say afterwards - I was in Serbia with 100 women“, joked Pahor, and the friendly hosts granted him his wish.

Selaković also tasted the Slovenian wine Koper and assessed that it had an excellent taste.

Also, the officials stopped at the stand of the exhibitors from Germany, and then visited the stand of the Đoković winery.
