President Vučić at the Bled Strategic Forum
"Politics is a vision and its realization, and our job is to serve the people, the country and the nation", said President Vučić, adding that only a united EU can cope with the economic crisis.
"I had a meeting with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, with whom I discussed the European perspective of Serbia and what our tasks are", said President Vučić, adding that the political situation in the Southeast Europe and the role of Serbia in Europe were also discussed during the meeting.
President Vučić underlined that Serbia strives to preserve national and state interests, as well as that they talked about the dialogue with Pristina, the situation in the region, the rule of law in Serbia and all further efforts that Serbia must undertake on its European path.
"We must look to get closer to each other, to avoid conflicts and to open borders", the president said, emphasizing that he was proud of the Open Balkans initiative.
President Vučić also referred to the conversation with the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, about the good relations between the two countries, as well as the trade exchange between Serbia and Slovenia, which is growing and progressing from year to year, and at the same time thanked the organizers of the Forum for the opportunity to present his ideas on currently important topics.
President Vučić said that in a meeting with the EU Special Representative for Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and Other Regional Issues, Miroslav Lajčák, he expressed his concern that Albanians would launch a campaign to join various institutions.
"The EU is necessary and important for us, but in the meantime, we must live, survive and improve our economy and the lives of our people", concluded President Vučić, emphasizing that these are key things for Serbia.
