Minister Selakovic congratulates Easter to Patriarch Porfirije and believers

On the occasion of the greatest Christian holiday, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selakovic extended cordial congratulations to Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, clergy, monks, as well as to all believers who celebrate Easter according to the Julian calendar, wishing them to spend it in good health, peace, forgiveness and faith in God and a better tomorrow.

"With your recent enthronement as Patriarch, the Serbian Orthodox Church and its worshippers have been given a courageous spiritual leader who is ready to decisively face all the temptations in the way of our people and the Church in these challenging times. On this holiday, let me emphasize my conviction that with dignified and conscientious leadership of the Serbian Orthodox Church, wise words and deeds, you will spread the spirit of unity and solidarity between the Church and state on the path of protection and preservation of our tradition, faith and identity, especially in the context of common concerns for our people and the Serbian spiritual heritage in Kosovo and Metohija and in the region", Minister Selakovic said in his congratulatory message.

To all the believers who celebrate Easter according to the Julian calendar, Selakovic wished the holiday to give us the strength to persevere in all difficulties and to overcome all the challenges we face today, by walking along the path of tolerance, mutual respect and understanding.

"With sincere wishes to spend the Easter holidays in the spirit of the everlasting values ​​of the Orthodox faith, illuminated by harmony, love and spiritual bliss, I send to you the most joyous of greetings, Christ is Risen", Minister Selakovic stated.
