Minister Dačić with Under-Secretary-General of the UN and Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić, met earlier today with the Under-Secretary-General of the UN and the Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), Inger Andersen, who is on her first working visit to Serbia and the region.
They discussed current issues addressed by the United Nations Environment Programme: Climate change, nature conservation and pollution as well as their global impact. Among other matters, Andersen pointed out a need to employ young Serbians at the UN Environment Programme, which was supported and welcomed by the Serbian party.
Serbia's notable role in UNEP processes and bodies was pointed to, and mutual readiness to continue and advance the good cooperation between Serbia and UN Environment Programme, expressed.
