Minister Dačić receives the Director of the United Nations Population Fund Serbia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić received the United Nations Population Fund (UNFRA) Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Country Director for Serbia, John Kennedy Mosoti, during his visit to Belgrade, on 3 March 2003.

Mr. Mosoti expressed his gratitude for the support, including financial support, that Serbia was providing to UNFRA for its activities. He made a positive assessment of the cooperation with all competent departments up to date, and expressed his expectation that it would continue in the future. He also informed Minister Dačić about current and planned activities and projects of the UNFRA Office, and of his expectation that such good cooperation would continue. The United Nations Population Fund fully supports the Government of Serbia in the achievement of its objectives and priorities relating to demography issues.

Minister Dačić agreed with Mr. Mosoti’s positive assessment of the cooperation with UNFRA and conveyed the support for further joint activities and initiatives. He emphasised the importance of a status-neutral representation in UNFRA activities in accordance with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
