Minister Dačić meets with Head of OSCE Mission in Kosovo Michael Davenport

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić met with Ambassador Michael Davenport, Head of OSCE Mission in Kosovo (OMIK). Minister Dačić expressed his gratitude for the Mission’s support to the protection of the rights of the Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija, and his expectations that the Mission would continue to act in a status-neutral manner, in accordance with the Resolution 1244 SC UN.
Both sides expressed their concern over the upcoming local elections in Kosovo and Metohija, as the anticipated non-participation of Serbian voters in all elections would cast doubts on the the legitimacy and legality of those elections.
Minister Dačić and Ambassador Davenport stressed their mutual expectations that the Community of Serb Municipalities would be established as soon as possible, which was highlighted as the priority in the resolution of other outstanding issues.
