Minister Dačić with the NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General
The two officials exchanged opinions on the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija and activities of the NATO-led KFOR mission, partnership cooperation between Serbia and NATO and possibilities for its improvement, as well as current European security issues.
The head of Serbian diplomacy provided detail information about the latest developments in Kosovo and Metohija and particularly emphasised the importance of the impartial and status-neutral engagement of KFOR aimed towards preserving peace and security in the Province and preventing possible incidents.
The NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General emphasised that the Alliance fully respects Serbia’s policy of military neutrality, and confirmed that KFOR will continue to exercise its mandate in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the achieved level of political dialogue and partnership cooperation between Serbia and NATO on issues of common interest, with the aim of preserving peace and stability in the region.
