Kozarev confers with the Ambassador of Hungary

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic of Serbia, Dušan Kozarev, met today with the Ambassador of Hungary to Belgrade, József Zoltán Magyar, for discussions on further strengthening bilateral relations, as well as on key international and regional issues.

The talks underscored the satisfaction with the friendly and partnership ties between Serbia and Hungary, as well as the intensive cooperation in the political and economic spheres.

Kozarev placed particular emphasis on the positive momentum of high-level and senior-level meetings. He noted with appreciation the upcoming visit of Henrietta Balajti, Political Director and Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, as well as the planned meeting between the two ministers on the margins of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Today’s meeting also addressed the expansion of the network of co-located diplomatic and consular missions, with their functioning under this model being highly evaluated.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, and infrastructure connectivity projects, and on this occasion Kozarev once again conveyed his gratitude to Hungary for its full and unwavering support of Serbia’s European path.
