Kozarev and a Delegation of the Association of Women Victims of War from the Republic of Srpska Meet with Patriarch Porfirije
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Belgrade, Aleksandar Vranješ; representatives of the Republic Center for War Research, War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons, Viktor Nuždić and Miroslav Ljubojević; and the Director of the Archives of Vojvodina, Nebojša Kuzmanović.
Kozarev conveyed the greetings of Minister Marko Đurić and briefed the Patriarch on the promotion of the second volume of the book “Our Testimony – Women Victims of War from Republika Srpska 1992–1995,” to be held today at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He noted that, in addition to the Ministry, the implementation of the project—conducted in cooperation with the Association of Women Victims of War—was supported by the aforementioned institutions, with the engagement of Ambassador Vranješ. He emphasized that the primary objective of the joint efforts invested in the preparation of the book was guided by
the aspiration to achieve justice for Serbian victims during the civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia bestowed his blessing upon the work of the Association and expressed support for their continued efforts aimed at establishing the truth, which, as he stated, is needed first and foremost both internally and externally in the challenging times in which we live. He underscored the importance of the support provided by the Governments of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, stressing that it is of great significance for state institutions to stand behind such a project and to recognize its true value. He further emphasized that the Serbian Orthodox Church remains available to provide any form of assistance in this matter, as well as on other issues of importance to the Serbian people.
