Jovanović confers with the Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary
In a cordial exchange, both sides expressed satisfaction with the exceptionally high intensity of political relations between Serbia and Hungary, which are, among other things, the result of the personal commitment and friendly ties between President Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. It was noted that bilateral cooperation between the two countries is highly dynamic and wide-ranging, and currently at its highest level in modern history.
State Secretary Jovanović emphasized that Serbia highly values the support it receives from Hungary on its path toward EU membership, as well as Hungary’s deep understanding of the current situation in our country and the region, and its backing of issues of national interest to Serbia, both bilaterally and in the international arena.
Political Director Balajthy expressed gratitude for the invitation extended to Hungary to participate in the Specialized International Exhibition EXPO 2027, underlining her country’s satisfaction at the opportunity to contribute with its rich cultural heritage to this major international event, of which Serbia will be the proud host.
The meeting also jointly underlined that the minority communities of Serbs in Hungary and Hungarians in Serbia represent a strong bond between the two states and an additional incentive for further strengthening of relations and cooperation.
