Jovanović Confers with the Ambassador of Bulgaria

During a cordial and open exchange, the interlocutors discussed the current situation in the region and globally, underscoring the exceptional importance of good neighbourly relations, particularly in the context of serious global challenges with significant potential spillover effects worldwide.

In the course of the discussion, both sides expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations and cooperation between Serbia and Bulgaria across numerous areas, noting that there remains considerable scope for their further enhancement, to which they will remain committed in the period ahead. They also reaffirmed their readiness to continue cooperation within international fora.

On this occasion, State Secretary Jovanović extended particular appreciation for Bulgaria’s confirmation of participation in the Specialized International Exhibition Expo 2027 in Belgrade. Ambassador Angelov expressed his country’s satisfaction at the opportunity to contribute to this important international event, which Serbia will proudly host.
