Jovanović confers with the Ambassador of Algeria

During the meeting, it was noted that relations between Serbia and Algeria rest on genuine friendship and mutual respect, dating back to the period of close cooperation during the former Yugoslavia.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the continuity of political dialogue and reaffirmed their readiness to further advance it.

Ambassador Mahraz emphasized the traditional ties of friendship between the two countries and their peoples, stressing that Algeria highly values Serbia’s consistent policy and its commitment to upholding international law and the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity.

State Secretary Jovanović expressed confidence that the period ahead will bring new opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, and educational fields, in the spirit of friendship that has long connected Serbia and Algeria.
