Farewell visit of the Ambassador of Indonesia

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nikola Stojanović, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Mochammad Chandra Widya Yudha, for a farewell visit as he concludes his term in our country.

On this occasion, the State Secretary Stojanović expressed his sincere appreciation to Ambassador Yudha for his dedication and efforts in enhancing the overall relations between Serbia and Indonesia during his tenure.

Stojanović highlighted that 2024 marked the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Indonesia, a milestone celebrated through high-level visits of great significance.

He recalled that Serbia had the honor of hosting the President-elect of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, as well as the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani. Additionally, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, attended the inauguration of President Subianto in Indonesia.

Furthermore, Stojanović expressed gratitude to Indonesia for its continued support and invaluable assistance in Serbia’s accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), a process successfully concluded during Indonesia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2023.

Ambassador Yudha extended his heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of Serbia for their warm hospitality and excellent cooperation over the past six years.

He emphasized that he would cherish fond memories of Serbia and remain a steadfast friend and advocate for the further strengthening of ties between Serbia and Indonesia.
