Dačić welcomed the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, Mr SingOei
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Ivica Dačić said that bilateral relations between Serbia and Kenya were traditionally very good and friendly and characterised by mutual understanding and trust.
The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the improvement of bilateral relations and cooperation in numerous areas, among other things through the exchange of high-level visits, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Dačić expressed his hope that this year, when we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the President of Kenya, Mr Ruto would come to an official visit to Serbia.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, Mr SingOei expressed his interest in further deepening both political and economic ties, especially through the cooperation of the economic sector, emphasising that many buildings and highways in Kenya had been built by the former Yugoslav construction companies, and that this tradition should be continued.
Kenyan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr SingOei also expressed interest in deepening cooperation in the fields of culture and sports, as well as education, given the interest of Kenyan students in the "World in Serbia" educational scholarship project.
The head of Serbian diplomacy, Mr Dačić, once again expressed his gratitude for the principled decision of the Republic of Kenya not to recognise the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, thereby confirming adherence to the basic principles of international law.
