Wellington: Ambassador Stefanović presents his credentials to the New Zealand Governor-General

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Australia, Rade Stefanović, presented his credentials to the New Zealand Governor-General, Cindy Kiro, thus taking office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in this country.

Ambassador Stefanović conveyed greetings of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and emphasised our commitment to improving bilateral relations with New Zealand, particularly through intensifying political dialogue at the highest and high levels, as well as through developing cooperation in different fields – to which the Serbian community in this country could significantly contribute.

Governor-General welcomed Ambassador Stefanović and wished him success in his work in New Zealand. She expressed readiness for cooperation in order to connect two countries, including strengthening economic ties, and asked the Ambassador to convey her best wishes to President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

The solemn ceremony of presenting credentials was held in the Government House in Wellington, and Ambassador Stefanović was welcomed, beside the guard of honour,  traditional dance, by the representatives of the Māori Community as well.
