Washington: Ambassador Đurić participated in the round table of the German-American Business Council
The topics of discussion were bilateral economic relations between Serbia and Germany, as well as Serbia and the United States, and opinions were exchanged on opportunities for their further improvement in the context of strengthening transatlantic business ties.
Ambassador Đurić presented the economic and trade potentials of the Republic of Serbia as an internationally recognized economic leader of our region to the present representatives of the American-German business community. He also presented the concept of the Initiative ‘Open Balkans’, introducing the participants to the regional significance of this initiative and the opportunities it offers to all parties involved.
The event was attended by representatives of a dozen American and German companies operating in the United States, including Siemens, Panasonic, BMW, Bank of America, Eli Lilly, Oxygen Solutions and others.
The German-American Business Council is a non-profit organization that brings together prominent companies, enterprises and professionals from the business community with the aim of supporting the strengthening of German-American economic cooperation and trade.
